~ Sunkissed Wings ~

Dear drake what is it to you to fly?

On wings of flame you may soar, through cloud, and mist, and sky,

As your scales gleam green and blue, and yellow and white, hues change as they catch the sunlight,

Your wings are soft, and sturdy and strong, like great sails, crafted to somehow still be light,

Decades of hiding above the clouds makes you a sight rarely seen,

But what a scene when you descend with vibrant sunkissed wings,

Only a moment, and then you vanish as if taunting those mortal's eyes, now that's just mean.

So, dear drake, why do you dwell in isolation, hiding within mist and myth alike?

My attempt at a description since I haven't added one for a while ~ I have no idea how that will sound when other's read it.

Media - WHS colouring pencils and a white pen.

Still doodling and playing around with the new sketchbook. This dragon was going to be a very different set of colours ~ but apparently he didn't like that idea and somehow ended up being coloured this way. Picky dragon. =-="
